Sydney + Brandon | Downtown Roswell Engagement Session at Naylor Hall

I’ve visited downtown Roswell many times, but somehow never noticed Naylor Hall: the beautifully charming backdrop for Sydney + Brandon’s May engagement session.

In fact, I got a little turned around and missed it again on the day of our session! (I blame my GPS for taking me a weird way, but my husband would tell you it’s because I’m geographically challenged – ha!)

I was 30 minutes early, so I sat in my car and enjoyed the last bit of air conditioning blasting in my face in preparation for what was going to be a HOT 5pm engagement shoot (85+ degrees, phew!).

Sydney and Brandon arrived for our session and I cannot say enough kind words about them, both as individuals and as a couple. Their love and adoration for each other was apparent from the jump, and I think it really shows through in their final edited gallery.

Sydney was very set on getting photos in front of Naylor Hall itself (and why wouldn’t she be? It’s stunning!), but the full, direct sun posed a bit of a challenge in terms of lighting. We started with shots walking around the Magnolia tree-shaded area of the sprawling green, manicured grounds, and whenever a cloud passed by – we stopped what we were doing and hurried over to the steps of the Hall to take advantage of the overcast skies!

Towards the end of our session, Sydney’s dad brought their two dogs over for some family photos. I love when clients include their furry family members in their photos!
